Based on this very interesting entry, it seems that there are 3 main reasons for IT project failures:
- not enough governance
- communication
- collaboration
These reasons further highlight the need for the well-balanced and integrated role of IT within the organization, the open channels between IT and the business domains, and the consideration of projects, not simply as IT projects, but rather as Business projects!
I would like to believe that there is a need to apply the 5 Cs !
The well known 4 Cs:
- communication
- collaboration
- cooperation
- coordination
and my own touch, the 5th C:
- commitment from both sides the IT, and most importantly the business
